BOOSTING THE NETWORK WITH KOMBIVERKEHR

ÖBB Rail Cargo Group and Kombiverkehr have now established a service between Budapest and Neuss that runs six times a week and another that stops off at Wels and Wien Süd that runs three times a week, which between them save the CO2 emissions of 17,000 truck journeys.

NEW TRANSFER VERONA–REGENSBURG

We are expanding our network and, from 6 June 2021, we are launching an intermodal non-stop connection between Verona and Regensburg with three round trips per week with a new TransFER connection.

New partnership with Pacific Eurasia

Through this new partnership, ÖBB Rail Cargo Group and Pacific Eurasia are connecting Europe and Asia and further enhancing the potential of the New Silk Road. The Köseköy Terminal will function as a central hub between both continents.

Daily two-way service on the Silk Road

In 2020, the ÖBB Rail Cargo Group transported around 70,000 TEU on the New Silk Road. That’s more freight than ever before. It equates to double the volumes transported in 2019.

PARTNERSHIP WITH MARCEGAGLIA TO BE EXTENDED

The cooperation between Marcegaglia and ÖBB Rail Cargo Group will be extended in 2021 to include one more train per week. Sustainable rail transport services bring steel shipments from Italy across all of Europe and save the climate from 3,800 tonnes of CO2 emissions a year.
