Werner Hecking is taking over as Chief Sales Officer (CSO), heading up global sales of the WaggonTracker system. He brings a wealth of experience from the industry and from working with railway operators. He has held senior positions at Siemens Mobility and Magna Powertrain, among others, and was most recently managing director of Steiermarkbahn.

This new appointment marks another important strategic step towards growth for PJM. In the spring, the company recruited an expert in the German rail market, and last year, it expanded its hardware and software development teams. PJ Monitoring has also recently opened a new digital production facility for manufacturing its flagship system, ‘WaggonTracker’. "We are delighted that Werner Hecking, with his expertise in railway operators and rolling stock manufacturing, has joined us", emphasises Günter Petschnig, CEO of PJ Monitoring.

For Werner Hecking, "success begins with motivation and is achieved through consistency’, a principle that also applies to the WaggonTracker system. This comprehensive digital system is unique due to its combination of in-depth monitoring functions and safety-critical automation for freight trains. ‘Digital train functions such as brake monitoring, load monitoring, kingpin monitoring and automatic brake testing, deliver rail operators and rail logistics providers with genuine added value, both economically and in terms of safety. The potential is immense”, Werner Hecking explains.

In addition to the digitalisation of freight trains, PJM offers a comprehensive package for implementing the DAC. This includes digital train functions, the tried-and-tested Voith coupling system, full system integration, and rolling stock testing and certification, all from a single source. Locomotive integration and authorisation are essential for bringing the Digital Automatic Coupling into commercial operation. The PJM Group’s specialist companies make this unique full-service package possible, thereby reducing complexity and making the DAC viable for operators.
