Hitachi Rail Secures Key Role in Sydney Metro West Project
Hitachi Rail has been awarded a significant contract to deliver advanced technologies for Sydney Metro West, a transformative infrastructure project connecting Greater Parramatta to the Sydney Central Business District (CBD) via a new 24-kilometre underground metro line.

As a subcontractor to the Metro Trains West Consortium—a joint venture between MTR Corporation and CRRC Corporation Limited—Hitachi Rail will provide Central Control Systems (CCS) and Integrated Communications (iCOM), ensuring seamless operations and enhanced passenger connectivity.
"This is a significant achievement for the Hitachi Rail team and enables a successful continuation of deployment of these technologies that have also been delivered for Sydney Metro Northwest, City and Southwest.
