It features a wide input range of 50.4…137.5 Vdc (3:1) allowing a single unit to cover both 72 V and 110 V battery profiles in accordance with EN50155.
It provides an isolated and regulated 24 Vdc output, with 10% peak power capability for dynamic loads and a typical efficiency of 95%. The converter includes reinforced insulation up to 5 kVdc, ensuring safe operation even under demanding electrical conditions.
Thanks to its baseplate and robust thermal design, the CLS-500 enables derating-free operation up to +70 ºC and withstands +85 ºC for up to 15 minutes, meeting OT4 + ST1/ST2 classification. This ensures stable performance even under severe temperature variations.
The unit includes active reverse polarity protection, inrush current limitation, remote on/off, a DC-OK relay, and parallel or redundant operation capability, providing flexible and secure integration into multiple power architectures.
The CLS-500 complies with the main railway standards: EN50155, EN45545-2, and EN50121-3-2, ensuring reliable operation in environments with vibration, humidity, and the electrical conditions typical of rolling stock.
