PJM to showcase seven specialist companies at InnoTrans 2026

At the international transport technology trade fair, PJM will be showcasing new specialist divisions and an expanded range of services. Since the last InnoTrans in 2024, the PJM Group has grown to include three additional companies. To mark its 20th anniversary, the group is presenting itself as particularly strong and innovative.
In today’s challenging rail industry, efficiency and effective project management are of the utmost importance. A strong year for PJM: 7 specialist companies, 3anniversaries and the 1st overseas branch PJM Swiss marked the establishment of the first branch outside Austria. The Swiss company is the seventh in the PJM Group. Last year, INFRATRACK Solutions and EMC Rail Services expanded the portfolio. INFRATRACK is a unique test site for
railway innovations built on a siding with ideal infrastructure in a central transport hub near Graz.
With EMC Rail Services, the testing centre portfolio was expanded to include EVM testing.
PJ Motion made its debut at InnoTrans 2024. In just three years, the company has established itself in the industry, continuously expanding its customer base and markets.
20th anniversary of PJ Messtechnik
What began in 2006 with measurement equipment tucked away behind the sofa in the living room has since grown into a group of companies with over 90 employees. By securing Austria’s first ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation, the two founders, Martin Joch and Günter Petschnig, broke new ground. After two decades, they can look back on successful projects in over 30 countries across six continents. What are the key factors in the company’s development?

RCC, which complements the PJM Group’s range of services with accredited conformity assessment and certification, is celebrating its 3rd anniversary. RCC has been successfully operating as a Notified Body for Interoperability (NoBo), a Designated Body for Austria (DeBo), an independent assessment body for safety assessments (AsBo), and an ECM certification body for the past 10 years.
Excellence in the testing of rail vehicles As Austria’s first testing laboratory accredited to ISO/IEC 17025, PJ Messtechnik offers specialised services ranging from acoustics and braking systems to unique pantograph tests. From January to August, the company carried out vehicle tests in nine European countries and the USA.
Mechanical design, simulation and validation The PJM Group develops and optimises rail vehicles, from feasibility studies through CAD design to MBS simulations. The combination of simulation and real-world validation significantly reduces development times. PJM is certified to EN 15085-2 and AAR-WABL and is a member of NAFEMS.
Optimised Authorisation and Certification PJ Motion manages the entire vehicle authorisation process in accordance with the 4th Railway Package. Additionally, the accredited RCC provides manufacturer-independent conformity assessments and offers NoBo, DeBo, AsBo and ECM certification services from a single source.
Pioneering digitalisation in rail freight transport
PJ Monitoring has been setting new standards with its proprietary hardware and software. Its flagship product, WaggonTracker, enables automated brake testing, load weight monitoring, and derailment diagnosis. Plasser & Theurer also utilises these technologies for track-laying machinery. Furthermore, PJM offers a comprehensive DAK solution, including the Voith CargoFlex coupling, digital train functions, system integration, and approval.
PJM Swiss: vehicle inspections and approvals in Switzerland With the establishment of PJM Swiss in Thalwil, PJM has set an international milestone. Led by industry experts Martin Benkler and Lorenz Kochan, the subsidiary provides customised support for the Swiss market.
