By leasing 35 brand-new open-top Eamnos wagons, Willke Logistics GmbH is expanding its bulk transport capacity – and for the first time is relying on wagon lessor Ermewa. The wagons were handed over on 11 June 2025 in Dresden. They will be deployed in northern Germany, mainly for transporting gravel.
The delivered wagons are part of Ermewa’s extensive modernization and expansion programme. By the end of 2025, the company will operate more than 780 Eamnos all over Europe. These open, four-axle wagons with a loading volume of 57.3 m3 are ideally suited for transporting bulk materials such as steel scrap, coal or construction materials. All wagons are equipped with GPS sensors.
In total, Ermewa is strengthening its fleet in 2025 with around 185 new Eamnos wagons from Greenbrier’s workshops. With this targeted fleet expansion, Ermewa is responding to the growing demand for high-performance freight wagons in the bulk goods sector.
“With the new wagons from Ermewa, we can offer our customers reliable transports with modern equipment. From the very beginning, the collaboration was characterised by a spirit of partnership and professionalism – especially Ermewa’s service-oriented approach convinced us,” says Sven Rybarczyk, Managing Director of Willke Logistics GmbH.
“We are delighted to welcome Willke Logistics, another fast-growing rail freight operator, to our customer portfolio. The decision to opt for our modern Eamnos wagons underscores their performance and efficiency in transporting construction materials,” says Cyrille Guyon, Deputy General Manager of Ermewa.
