Nomad Digital Extends Operations and Maintenance Agreement with Queensland Rail
Nomad Digital, leading specialists in transport connectivity solutions has secured an extended Operations and Maintenance agreement with Queensland Rail to support and maintain an extensive range of onboard connectivity solutions.

The agreement will see Nomad Digital provide specialist support services for a period of five years from August 2025 with a two-year optional extension and the potential for two further years after this.

This collaboration has seen Nomad Digital provide connectivity solutions for Queensland Rail fleets for more than a decade, including the first rail onboard passenger WiFi service in Australia. Most recently, the Nomad Digital Engage Portal has been implemented on the Queensland Rail Electric Tilt Trains running between Brisbane, Bundaberg and Rockhampton. The Engage Portal is part of Nomad Digital’s Passenger Experience Digital Catalogue which enables passengers to enjoy their journey time by having access to a wide selection of services via the dedicated onboard network that passengers can easily join on their own smart devices.
Features such as live maps and a Digital Rights Management solution are included in the Nomad Digital Engage Portal to allow passengers access to licensed onboard entertainment content including movies, TV shows and music.
